CLAUDE U.S.A. Independent Cinema - Fiction

A witty, offbeat romantic comedy with a delightful performance by Irene Jacob, who won the best actress award last year at Cannes for her work in The Double Life of Veronique. Claude is a confused young man whose life has recently become a series of bizarre misfortunes he cannot control. When he accidentally sets his apartment building on fire he invites two of the tenants, Beatrice, a beautiful French woman, and her companion, a 5-yearold Cambodian orphan, to stay at his eccentric parent’s house. A charming love story unfolds as the life-embracing Beatrice brings strength and optimism into Claude’s unhappy life.
