A LIGHT-SENSITIVE STORY 45/95 Hungarian Film Series

A touching portrayal of a young woman’s struggle to survive in a hostile environment. Juli is a single parent, former photojournalist now reduced to taking school portraits. Her personar’tife is in shambles as she tries to find work, get a new flat, and deal with minor deceits and betrayals. Luck refuses to shine on her, and as her relationship with her young son deteriorates Juli sinks further and further into despair. A metaphor for the difficulty of mastering the new situation in Hungary, this emotional film creates a powerful statement of the human condition.
