CROWS (WRONY) 45/95 Hungarian Film Series

A simple, lyrical, stylishly photographed story from award winning director Dorota Kedzierzawska
about nine year old Wrony (Crow), who desperately wants to love and be loved. A loner expelled
from school, she wanders the streets where she meets and kidnaps a three-year-old girl. They
spend a day going “to the end of the world” together. At the end of the day, Crow returns the little
girl to her parents and goes home. Director Paul Cox: “The two kids are marvelous and the
film is a little jewel. Very encouraging to find that this type of cinema still exists. Gentle, poetic,
visionary. What else do we need?”
