ANONYMOUS LOVE LETTER (SIN REMITENTE) A Tribute to Contemporary Mexican Cinema

A young woman, disillusioned with love, plays a cruel joke on her elderly neighbor whose
cat is his only companion and who strongly disapproves of her promiscuous lifestyle. The joke
consists of a series of anonymous love letters, which she leaves under his door day after day,
pretending to be a secret admirer who is hopelessly in love with him and is ready to kill herself
out of despair. But this seemingly harmless joke has dire consequences as he becomes obsessed
with finding the woman in hope of saving her. Trapped in a game of lies, his only escape is to
speed up the approach of the angel of death.
