BRIDE TO BE (NOVIA QUE TE VEA) A Tribute to Contemporary Mexican Cinema

Two young Jewish women, both Mexican by birth, co-exist in modern Mexico City. One of the
girls belongs to a Sefardic family whose speech and customs recall medieval Spain from which
the Jews were expelled in 1492. The other is from an Ashkenazy family scarred by memories of
the Holocaust. The two struggle to shape their own destiny under the pressures of a traditional
society and of their own awareness of conflicting loyalties.
