This compelling, contemporary film is set in Wales and Northern Ireland, where nationalism is a
burning issue that can divide families over conflicting political ideals. Branwen is a passionate
Welsh nationalist and her determination is strengthened when she meets a young man from
Belfast Against the wishes of her soldier brother Branwen marries the young man when she
finds herself pregnant. After a political demonstration Branwen flees home to Wales, followed by
her husband. Disoriented and seething with hatred, her brother returns from Bosnia and decides
to serve judgment on the fractured family, even if this means the ultimate sacrifice …
