THE YOUNG POISONER’S HANDBOOK British Film Showcase

This macabre, darkly comic and .e;inister tale of genius gone wrong is based on the true story of
a young man’s descent into madness against the absurd backdrop of typical suburban English
life. A 14 year old boy’s experiments with toxic chemicals on family and friends lead to chronic
illness, disfigurement, and agonizing death. Although convicted of murder and imprisoned in a
high security mental hospital, the young man is paroled eight years later to work in a laboratory
where he is reunited with the very chemicals he knows so well.
