ERMO Asia

Ermo is a hard-working woman who sells
her home-made noodles by the roadside in
a rural town. l.1er husband is ill and a
stranger to her mind, and her small son
spends much of his time at the neighbor’s
house, watching their coveted television.
When the neighbor’s husband offers to
drive her into town, suggesting that she’d
earn more money there, she iumps at the
chance. She sets out with determination to
purchase the largest television set she can
get. Her noodle business soon becomes a
great success, and she engages in a passionate
affair with her neighbor friend.
The newfound doors to money, sex and
independence have been discovered, but
