DÉJÀ VU Official Competition

Dana (Victoria Foyt), a young American woman
traveling on business in Jerusalem, meets a mysterious
older French woman at a cafe (Aviva Marks) who shares
a fascinating story of lost love revolving around the
expensive antique pin she’s wearing. The woman exits the
cafe abruptly, leaving the pin behind and Dana, who is on
her way to meet her fiance (Michael Brandon) for a “prehoneymoon”
week in London, must reschedule her trip
through Paris in an unsettling attempt to return the jewel.
Thus begins a journey that leads Dana first to the
English coastal town of Dover, where she finds herself
strongly drawn to an inexplicably familiar stranger named
Sean (Stephen Dillane), and later to a country home in
London, where, among others, she encounters the
extraordinary Skelly (Vanessa Redgrave), a woman
whose passionate belief in “jumping off the cliff’ of life
has a profound effect upon Dana.
Filmed in Israel, France and England, DEJA VU is a
film about the powerful pull that two total strangers can
feel toward one another, how one’s orderly life plans can
be suddenly and overwhelmingly disrupted by mysterious
feelings of connection and belonging that seem to defy all
logic and circumstance.
