The first feature from director Costas Kopokos-whose shorts hove merited several European awards-PEPPERMINT won on unparalleled nine prizes at Greece’s Stole Film Awards. This charming coming-of-age story shows us the funny and poignant adventures of a boy in 1960s Greece.

At his mother’s deathbed, a photo album sparks 40-year-old Stefanos’s return to his childhood. Growing up in on extended family with close attachments to several eccentric relatives, the young Stefano was particularly devoted to his cousin Marina, with whom he shored not only secrets but also on increasingly undeniable attraction.

A montage of ordinary events mode extraordinary through the powers of memory, PEPPERMINT’s celebration of sensations is aided by Yonnis Doskolothonassis’ cinematography and Maria Kondodima’s costume design.
