PLASTER CASTER Documentary Competition

Legendary artist and rock groupie Cynthia Plaster Caster is world renowned for plaster-casting the penises of rock ‘n’ roll’s finest, including the highlight of her career, Jimi Hendrix. With a music “cast” from Jello Biafra to Noel Redding to Wayne Kramer of MC5, PLASTER CASTER documents Cynthia’s latest casting pursuits.

Now 50-something, Cynthia Plaster Caster is still striving for the attention of rock stars and still hard at work honing her craft. During the filming, she chooses two rockers, one of whom ultimately can’t perform under the watchful eye of the camera, while the other goes a little too far sexually with the neurotic, but charming artist.

At times a bit sad and uncomfortable, PLASTER CASTER is an entertaining look at a youthful and personable artist and her long-time art gimmick that even inspired a Kiss song-now that is legendary.
