From the ashes of the war in Croatia floats SKIES, SATELLITES, a transcendent tale about one man’s journey through a ravaged land where identity, sanity and hope seem lost.

Early in the war, during a periodic exchange of prisoners, one man is given the name Jakov and is told that this name will save him. But, rather than playing along, Jakov disappears into the minefields and begins to search for meaning in his lost country, a world with little distinction between good and evil, where history and memory are fragile, ephemeral and subject to the whims of bullets and the confusion of war.
