THIS IS NOT A LOVE SONG International Feature Competition

Spike has only been out of prison for four hours when everything goes wrong.

Best friends Spike and Heaton must rethink their weekend plans after their van runs out of gas in the middle of nowhere. Now, instead of holing up inside a comfortable pub, they find themselves racing across the English countryside tailed by a posse of shotgun-toting farmers eager to squelch them on sight.

Filmed on location by director Billie Eltringham in only two weeks, the film features tense, standout performances as the two leads are forced to make the brutal switch from gallivanting thugs to panicked animals, complemented throughout by Adrian Johnston and Mark Rutherford’s haunting score. THIS IS NOT A LOVE SONG follows in the tradition of dark British dramas, while adding its own cunning twist to the formula.
