TWO DAYS American Directions

Sean McGinly’s TWO DAYS dares to tread on the last uncharted land of mockumentaries-death-as it chronicles the last days of a 30-y ear-old actor’s life and, delightfully, all the guilt everyone feels for not being nicer to him.

Paul Miller, brilliantly played by Paul Rudd, is an unemployed actor who, unable to cope with a starving artist life in Los Angeles, decides to kill himself. To document his final days, he hires a film crew and begin s to say goodbye to all his friends and family. At first, no one is especially concerned-this is typical Paul, they say. But soon, after the usual remedies a mid-afternoon roll in the hay, the promise of a decent role-fail to dissuade him, everyone begins to think that Paul might be (deadly) serious.

Funny, acerbic and insightful, TWO DAYS tackles a long-neglected genre-the suicide comedy-and discovers that the line between comedy and death is thinner than anyone expected.
