GO FURTHER International Documentary Competition

Director Ron Mann (GRASS, TWIST, POETRY IN MOTION) has once again created an entertaining film that offsets the propaganda dominating our culture.

Celebrating the idea that the single individual is the key to large-scale transformational change, the film follows actor/activist Woody Harrelson and a small group of friends on their Simple Organic Living Tour-an “Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test on Tofu.” These merry hempslers make their way down the Pacific Coast in a bio-fueled colorful bus, slopping al college campuses and organic farms to talk with both friends and foes. Their goal is lo show people that there are viable alternatives lo our habitual, environmentally destructive, behaviors. That Harrelson practices what he preaches is the cornerstone of his ability lo captivate and inspire us. A quixotic, thought-provoking documentary marrying trenchant political criticism with a bold sense of humanity and environmental responsibility, GO FURTHER is an infectious ride. The coast is scenic, the blissful bus is colorfully painted and the soundtrack is smooth.
