INDOCUMENTADOS American Directions

INDOCUMENTADOS is a fascinating meditation on 9 /11 and strikes a beautiful chord as soon as it hits the screen.

The film is a powerful glimpse into the streets of New York in the aftermath of the destruction of the Twin Towers. But rather than being a sentimental look at America’s loss, it is a look at the true faces of the people who make up the most diverse city in the world, and their struggles to be and become Americans. The cast of characters-which includes a priest, a young Palestinian boy, a Rasta and many others- are linked by an old bicycle that is itself an immigrant from its early days in New Jersey.

Sad yet hopeful, this gorgeous film is a thought-provoking tale that will stay with the viewer long after the credits have rolled-it should not be overlooked as just another film in this era of post 9/11 commentaries.
