Nearly a decade after the inauguration of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the past still continues to haunt South Africa. Thandeka a 30-something single mother and journalist, can’t shake her personal demons and desperately wants to reach out to her 13-year-old deaf daughter, Mangi. But it’s hard to tell a child about anger. Thandeka is forced to face her haunting past, however, when Me’Tau, the mother of a slain student activist, contacts her. Their search for Dineo’s remains endangers all their lives, as the killers stalk them to cover the tracks of their past crimes.
