SOUNDLESS (LAUTLOS) Made in Germany

Shadowy assassin Viktor slips into a home under the watchful eyes of the police, killing a man and stealing valuable documents-all without a sound. The police are outraged, yet puzzled, that Nina- sleeping in bed-was left alive.

Viktor’s hallmark is his extraordinarily careful planning and pitiless executions, but something about Nina prompts him to pursue a very quiet romance with her. That suits the unsuspecting Nina just fine; she’s still recovering from a relationship that left her suicidal. Meanwhile, Police lnspector Lang, acting upon instinct and experience, relentlessly pursues the increasingly careless killer. As the noose tightens, Viktor may have to choose between Nina and his profession. Either way, both of their lives are on the line.

First-time director Mennan Yapo presents an exciting German view of the thriller genre, in which the characters are almost unbearably lonely and silent, and love is life threatening.
