ADDICTION is an emotionally mature drama about the depths of addiction and sexuality and a haunting meditation on the impermanence of existence.

Life has become a matter of performing rather than living-shopping, drinking and eating all common addictions of our time. Jonna has been assigned to promote an author who writes about sex. Jonna needs on outlet, a diversion from her perfect life. Jonna is a successful, ambitious woman, who is also gradually falling into an unending cycle of sexual addiction. She meets a young, indolent millionaire and begins a full-blown, unsafe affair. As the one-night stands and affairs continue, Jonna begins to see an insidious pattern, but can’t help herself. She misses work, drifts away further from her husband and is threatened by her lover.

Led by leading lady Mi Gronlund’s performance, which is bold, unflinchingly immediate and evocatively unpredictable, ADDICTION is urgent, emotive and innovative filmmaking, creating a situation so infused with dramatic potential that it all but bursts from the screen.
