DARK HORSE (VOKSNE MENNESKER) International Feature Competition

Director Dagur Kári’s (NOI ALBINOI) sophomore feature, DARK HORSE is a flawlessly executed, highly stylized romp about a cast of well drawn oddballs shot in hypnotic black and white.

DARK HORSE is a comedic drama about the charmingly irresponsible graffiti artist Daniel, who lives in Copenhagen and earns his living painting declarations of love, on demand, on the walls of the city. He is constantly on the run from parking tickets, overdue bills and the police, yet he still manages to lead a carefree life until he meets and falls in love with the equally irresponsible and charming Franc.

Keeping the tempo lively with fluid editing and stylized direction, Karí elicits exceptionally articulated performances from his cast, revealing an unforgettably charming film reveling in the confusion about standing at the brink of adulthood.
