OLDEASTSIDE International Shorts Competition

Very short five-minute, non-malignant parody by Khavn De La Cruz on the ultra-long films by Lav Diaz in general and the five-hour BATANG WESTSIDÉ in particular. Diaz himself chose the five quotes that are digitally deconstructed. The film was made for a conference about piracy in Manila (a hotbed of DVD pirates) and based on a bad VHS pirate copy of Diaz’s film.
