THE GREEN INFERNO Midnight

Seeking to make a difference in the world, a group of college students sets out for the Amazon jungle to undertake an act of environmental protest. They are scared of being labeled eco-terrorists but when their trip goes awry and the students fall into the hands of a cannibalistic native tribe, they soon discover there are much scarier things than government watch lists. A loving tribute to the lurid cannibal films of the ‘70s and ‘80s, THE GREEN INFERNO raises the stakes of modern horror. As he did with previous films such as CABIN FEVER and HOSTEL, Eli Roth continues to push the boundaries of good taste and the tolerance of audiences around the world. He steps up his game here considerably in terms of production values as well as the intensity of his bone-chilling imagery. An unforgettable waking nightmare, THE GREEN INFERNO is one of the most thrilling rides in theaters this year.

Born in 1972, Eli Roth began shooting Super 8 films at the age of 8. After graduating from New York University film school, he developed two animated series, CHOWDAHEADS (1999) and THE ROTTEN FRUIT (2003). Roth later found breakout success with his shock horror hits CABIN FEVER (2002) and HOSTEL (2005).
