BLOWIN’ UP is an intimate portrait of the Queens Human Trafficking Intervention Court, a groundbreaking model of progressive justice, and the rebel heroines working to change the way women charged with prostitution are prosecuted in America. Director Stephanie Wang-Breal follows sex workers — many undocumented — as they share the complicated stories of prostitution and the collaborative efforts of the judges, attorneys and social workers to connect them with resources for starting a new life.
