THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM American Independents

Filmmaker John Chester documents the eight-year effort of an ambitious, life-changing personal venture: moving out of Los Angeles with his wife, Molly, and building a diverse, sustainable farm. We follow the highs and lows of this adventure, as the couple takes a barren, drought-ridden land in the foothills and transforms it into an orchard with 200 different crops and animals. As the farm’s ecosystem begins to come alive, the couple explores the complexity of coexisting with nature and all its intricacies in this poignant and charming documentary. – Sarah Harris
