ENEMIES: THE PRESIDENT, JUSTICE & THE FBI Special Screenings

Inspired by Tim Weiner’s book “Enemies: A History of the FBI,” this four-part documentary series executive-produced by Alex Gibney explores the complex history of conflict between the FBI and U.S. presidents. In the episode “That’s What Friends Are For,” the series takes a deep dive into the Reagan administration and their involvement in the Iran-Contra affair of the 1980s, as interviews with former agents, investigators and journalists share how the conflict unfolded after a plane was shot down in Nicaragua. With today’s ongoing clashes between the Trump administration, the FBI and the Department of Justice, reflecting on the history of these confrontations is vital to understanding the present. – Sarah Harris
