THE CORRIDORS OF POWER Documentary

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Screening to be followed by a conversation with director Dror Moreh.

In an insightful examination of the complexities surrounding military interventionism, Oscar®-nominated documentarian Dror Moreh (THE GATEKEEPERS) interviews an astounding cadre of powerful decisionmakers in American politics and diplomacy including Madeleine Albright, Colin Powell, James Baker, Antony Blinken, Hillary Clinton and Samantha Power. In reviewing genocides and mass killings from Kuwait, Bosnia, Rwanda, Kosovo, Libya and Syria, and revisiting these incidences via archival footage, CORRIDORS OF POWER attempts to understand how the U.S., as the only global superpower after the fall of the Soviet Union, and the UN weighed decisions to either intervene with force or look on. These enlightening in-depth interviews expound upon public and private conversations, analyzing how, despite the best intentions, these incomprehensibly difficult deliberations marked an era of near perpetual war and repeated atrocities. –Malin Kan
