Set in Tel-Aviv in 1962, this film tells the story of Eastern European holocaust survivors Rosa and Menachem Goldfarb who emigrated to Israel after the war. The Goldfarbs are experiencing a common dilemma: the troubled daily existence in the young state, versus the dream to emigrate to another, better place “over the ocean” where life is easier and more comfortable.
