DEKALOG 2 The Decalogue

A woman’s decision to have an abortion hinges on her husband’s life-or-death condition. She (Krystyna Janda) tries to enlist a Catholic doctor (Aleksander Bardini) in her decision whether to abort the baby she’s having by another man. The old doctor is faced with an insoluble ethical problem-torn between his beliefs and his knowledge of the limits of medical science. As in each section of The Decalogue, the drama ends on a note of profoundly ambiguous results accompanied by morally unforgiving circumstances. (57 min.)
