DEKALOG 6 The Decalogue

A full-length version of this film was released to great acclaim as A Short Film About Love. The most romantic episode of the series, it deals with Tomek, a 19-year-man (Olaf Lubaszenko) who falls madly in love with his older next door neighbor Magda (Grazyna Szapolowska). For some time, Tomek has spied on her, afraid to approach her. He finds any opportunity to be near her. When he finally confesses his shy and naive love, she rebuffs him, replying, “There is no such thing as love.” (58 min.)
