DEKALOG 8 The Decalogue

Zofia (Maria Koscialkowska) is a successful professor of ethics in her sixties who seems quite content with her life. Her only odd activity is placing flowers daily in an empty room in her apartment. One day, a young American woman of Polish descent named Elzbieta (Teresa Marczewska) applies for Sofia’s class. Elzbieta’s presence in the class forces Zofia to confront her apparent betrayal of a Jewish child under Nazi occupation many years earlier. (55 min.)
