STREETLIFE British Film Showcase

Description

A tough story shot through with humor and compassion centers on a group of women in a grim,
South Wales housing project for whom a steady job means doing someone else’s ironing or
engaging in a little amateur prostitution. They get by with black humor, blue jokes and a healthy
cynicism about their less than perfect lives. A treat in the Mike Leigh-Ken Loach tradition.
