LIKE TWO CROCODILES (COME DU COCCODRILLI) International Cinema

Seamlessly blending past and present into a haunting story of a man trying to resolve the trauma
of his youth, this moving drama revolves around Gabriele, a middle-aged art dealer living in
Paris, and his search for answers to questions he is only starting to discover. An invitation to an
auction in his home town sparks memories of a painful childhood, and he heads back with much
trepidation and a bit of deviousness. In beautiful sepia tone flashbacks we learn that he and his
brother are illegitimate, part of a second family his father kept hidden away. When his mother
dies in childbirth they are taken to live with his father’s “official” family. A resonant contemporary
story with sweeping cinematography and excellent performances, this is a delight for the eyes as
well as the mind.-Sandy Gow
