SAINT-EX European Union Film Showcase

In July of 1944, an unarmed reconnaissance
aircraft piloted by Antoine de
Saint-Exupery disappeared over the
Mediterranean and was never found.
Saint-Ex returns to the magical world felt
and documented by the author of Night
Flight, Wind, Sand and Stars, and, of
course, The Little Prince. We journey
through his childhood, his obsession with
flying and his deep and passionate relationship
with his wife, Consuelo Carrillo.
Says director Anand Tucker: “The theme of
our film-the loss of childhood and the
hope that love can bring back the happiness
you have known there-is, I hope,
universal. As universal as the love of a
terrific yarn with little planes, big storms,
wide oceans, hot deserts, beautiful
women, brave men and tormented souls.”
