THE BRUCE European Union Film Showcase

This extravagant production tells the story
of Scotland’s warrior-king, Robert The
Bruce, following his epic adventures and
exploring his complex relationship with
England’s King Edward I, known as the
Hammer of the Scots. In tribute to The
Bruce’s tireless efforts against the powers
that be, the film culminates in a re-enactment
of the Battle of Bannockburn, which
secured The Bruce a famous victory and
earned Scotland its freedom.
