Claudio, superficial middle-class university student, one day meets young and wise Francesca at a bus stop, where they strike up a friendly relationship. As Francesca is walking away, however, she is caught in a crossfire and shot. During the next 14 days, the lives of Claudio and his family are forever changed, as he attempts, with love, to pull Francesca out of a deep coma.
