BLUE MOUNTAIN Switzerland

The Balmer villa is just as perfect and
pleasant as can be. Manfred is a respected
and well-to-do businessman, Renate a
competent and happy housewife, and
their pre-teen daughter, Sonia, a nice
young lady. Within this idyllic household,
however, a silent storm simmers. Emerging
from adolescence, young Sonia longs for
more. She finds the answer to her
unformed prayers in her 16-year-old
neighbor, Melanie. Older, wilder and
more experienced, Melanie opens the
doors to a world which Sonia never imag·
ined: skipping stuffy ballet lessons and sitting
on the seat of a Harley Davidson. For
the first time, Sonia tastes the freedom and
exhilaration of youth-but there are
lessons to be learned.
