A darkly comic, thoroughly unconventional triangle
develops when an alienated private eye forces his way
into the lives of the suspicious wife who hired him and
the adulterous husband he is shadowing. The detective
impulsively and obsessively weaves himself into the very
fiber of the couple’s lives, allying first with one and then
the other, until the lines between private eye and client,
husband and wife, friend and foe are dangerously
blurred.
