MANDRAGORA World Cinema

A tragic and moving drama about
runaway children on the streets of
Prague. When a small town teenage
boy can no longer stand the pressures
from his father and his school
obligations, he leaves for Prague.
Helpless and lonely, he becomes an
immediate target for the local pimps
who easily drive him into the world of
male prostitution.
Based on true stories with a
mostly non-professional cast, this is
one of a handful of films dealing with
the emerging democracies of Eastern
Europe.
