One of this year’s most anticipated screenings is the World Premiere of John
Landis’ first independent feature film in over 20 years. SUSAN’S PLAN is about a
woman who conspires with her lover to murder her ex-husband for his
substantial life insurance policy, but gets tangled in a disastrous and comical
web of deceit.
Divorced and seeking revenge, Susan recruits her lover, who works at the
insurance company, to help her. Two losers, Steve and Bill, owe Sam a big
favor-although their inexperience at murder soon becomes obvious.
This is a quirky, off-beat thriller. “I just wanted to make a small movie,” says
Landis. In SUSAN’S PLAN, he succeeds most joyfully to make not only a small
movie, but an immensely entertaining one as well.
