THE RIFT World Cinema

A drama with elements of a psychological
thriller, this is a film about the basic
human attitudes and emotions of its main
characters: Stefan, a seasonal worker,
Joze, the village codger, and two sisters,
young Anica and her older sister Marta.
The story unwinds in a remote Slovene
village in the early ’70s. The relations of
characters with the Catholic environment
in which they live do not satisfy their
needs. In their longing for Good they are
forced to confront Evil. ..
