Colling himself a “mognetist” – on amalgam of hypnotist and healer – Meisner claims he con cure illnesses which hove rendered the town’s doctors powerless. Dr. Selonder’s beautiful daughter Mario hos been a recluse since she went blind ten years previously and, in spite of protests from his colleagues, Selander permits Meisner to attempt to restore her sight. To everyone’s amazement, the experiment succeeds. Not only does Mario regain her sight, she also falls in love with the charismatic stronger. The young couple’s happiness is threatened when rumors surface about his dork post. Then, Dr. Selander makes a disturbing discovery which forces him to choose between loyalties to his moral and professional codes, and his beloved daughter’s happiness.
