DREAMING OF JOSEPH LEES Special Presentations

Sensuous Eva longs for the adventurous and worldly Joseph Lees, whom she has known all her life. When he retreats from society after a terrible accident, Eva withdraws into her own charged memories of him. Then the simple but romantically-inclined Harry begins to court her. Unwilling to marry a man she doesn’t love, Eva does something utterly provocative for 1950s England: she moves in with him. The closer they become, the more her private fantasies of Joseph surface. Unable to deny the electricity between them, Eva’s feelings for Joseph become as fierce and fervent as anything she has fantasized. When Eva’s loyalties shift, a desperate and unstable Harry careens out of control with drastic and irreparable results.
