LOVE’S A BITCH (AMORES PERROS) Latin Cinema Series

Winner of the International Critics’ Week Grand Prize at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, LOVE’S A BITCH is the innovative and moving first feature from director Aleiandro Gonzalez lnarritu.

Octavio, Daniel, and El Chivo are three disparate men who represent a cross-section of Latin class and culture, and whose lives literally collide in a fateful car accident one day in Mexico City. Their separate stories are interwoven with intersecting narratives in the aftermath of this disaster, in lnarritu’s powerful tale of redemption.

In the words of the director, LOVE’S A BITCH is a product of the contradiction that exists within Mexico City, “with such rates of pollution, violence, and corruption… it is a beautiful and fascinating city.” The film also won a Best Director award for lnarritu at the Edinburgh Film Festival.
