LATE NIGHT SHOPPING European Showcase

With flawless execution and fluid storytelling, writer Jack Lothian’s and director Saul Metzstein’s debut feature film LATE NIGHT SHOPPING is an upbeat, oddball, after hours comedy about the ups and downs of sex and shelf-stocking in the 21st century.

LATE NIGHT SHOPPING presents the travails of four friends, each working dead-end night shifts. Trapped in the twilight world of permanent late night work, they hang out together in an all-night cafe, where their only escape from drudgery is observing Vincent’s unwavering success in pulling women. Although there seems little prospect of change, events conspire otherwise.

In a fusion of charm, wit and dynamic performances from the charismatic leads, director Metzstein has created a fierce comedy of how true love is meant to alter destiny in the late night world.
