An upwardly mobile couple eager to impress their super-competitive friends embarks on a new kind of adventure travel-living as unemployed people for one month. They learn that self-discovery carries a hefty price tag.

About to begin a lucrative new job, Jenne decides that he and wife Katri deserve a vacation. A smooth travel agent seduces the couple with a concept none of their friends have experienced. At first, it’s romantic to be awakened by sirens and domestic disputes, and they make friends with the petty criminals next door. Reality quickly sets in, though, and they long for their comfortable lifestyle. But it’s not so easy to climb back to the top.

A mordantly funny satire, UPSWING pokes fun at middle class aspirations while casting a compassionate eye upon the less fortunate. It also rocks like crazy, thanks to a snappy pace and a very cool soundtrack.
