THE STATEMENT Galas

A contemporary political thriller starring Michael Caine and Tilda Swinton, THE STATEMENT is based on a novel by Brian Moore that shines a light on some of the darkest corners of the religious and political establishment.

Set in modern day France, THE STATEMENT is the story of Pierre Brossard, a man never brought to trial for the war crimes he committed in his youth. Instead, he has lived a quiet and anonymous life sheltered by right-wing elements within the Catholic Church.

When a new investigation into his crimes is launched, Brossard finds himself the target of both hit men and police investigators. A wily old fox, he keeps outwitting his pursuers while desperately trying to figure out who they are. Who will get to him first?
