Shuji reacts passively to everything: his brother’s aggression, his parents indifference and the confession of a guilt-ridden priest. He feels powerless to act until Eri, an enigmatic girl obsessed with running, leaves their small town for Tokyo and Shuji is compelled to follow her.

DEAD RUN tells the story of Shuji, a disillusioned young Japanese boy whose family’s falling apart. Desperate to find some meaning and purpose to his life, Shuji befriends a priest who has come to town to set up a church.
