MAMAN(S) Short Films

Eight-year-old Aida and her family are thrown into chaos when her father returns from Senegal with a new wife.

In 2013, Maïmouna Doucouré directed her first short film HIDE-AND-SEEK. MAMAN(S) is inspired by Doucouré’s personal experience, and centers on the upheaval of a child’s life after being confronted by polygamy.
