John de Menil is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker and recent graduate of the AFI Conservatory. A native New Yorker, he graduated from the NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2008 and in 2009 directed the feature-length documentary MAX ERNST HANGING, which played at festivals around the country and was distributed by Microcinema International.
