FATA MORGANA Short Films

A grieving couple is forced to examine their marriage when they journey from China to the United States for the funeral for their only child.

Originally from Beijing, Amelie Wen (AFI Class of 2015) is a recent graduate of the AFI Conservatory and recipient of the Bison Fellowship for promising Chinese filmmakers. Her short films have screened at AFI FEST, Clermont-Ferrand, Los Angeles and other film festivals. Through the medium of cinema, Wen hopes to continue to explore the complexities of human nature as well as the vastness and impermanence of the universe through a feminine perspective.
